AFPL was built by men of purpose — founders who believed that quality, integrity, and dedication were not just values but the very foundation of a lasting enterprise.

Late Mr. K.V. Mittal established the organisation in 1973 under the name Ajay Forgings, later renamed Anandmayee Forgings — a reflection of his evolving vision and deepening commitment to the craft of forging. A man of profound wisdom, dedication, and sincerity, his insistence on manufacturing excellence and strong values laid the foundation upon which AFPL stands today.

Late Mr. Naveen Mittal carried the founding vision forward with ambition and foresight. His drive to grow AFPL beyond domestic boundaries and align the company with international standards transformed AFPL into one of India's most reliable and respected forging manufacturers. His global outlook continues to shape the direction of the organisation.

Leading the Next Chapter

Mr. Kaustubh Mittal is the Chairman and Managing Director of AFPL Forgings & Sugam Group. A Mechanical Engineer from Manipal University, he began his career with Larsen & Toubro, where his excellence and innovation earned him two L&T ICON Awards. Driven by a vision to build a globally competitive forging enterprise, he led the transformation and rebranding of Anandmayee Forgings into AFPL Forgings—a modern, technology-driven manufacturing enterprise focused on precision, quality, and operational excellence. Under his leadership, AFPL continues to evolve with a clear global outlook, combining decades of forging expertise with innovation and modern manufacturing capabilities. His vision is shaping a legacy of reliability, innovation, and trust, while showcasing the true potential of Indian forging on the world stage.
